Welcome to The Over Players web site, an amateur dramatics group based in the village of Over in Cambridgeshire - United Kingdom.

We have been presenting shows in the village since 1984.  Originally these shows were staged in the Church Hall but since June 1999 we have moved to the Over Centre.  The Centre is a village facility part funded by the Millennium Fund.

The Players next show is in September 2008 and is directed by John Lamoon, who will also star as the show's Master of Ceremonies.  It will be "Something for Everybody", and is another encounter with the art of Coarse Acting, similar to the one presented by the Players in May 2003.  It is being staged at the Over Centre on Friday 12th September and Saturday 13th September 2008, starting at 7:45pm.  Tickets for the show are now available from our Box Office, details of which can be found here
Furthermore most of this show will also be staged in Palma, Mallorca, on the 3rd October 2008.  This will be a fund raising charity event on behalf of cancer and leukaemia research.

Looking further forward to December 2008, the Players have decided on their Christmas pantomime.  This year it will be "Sleeping Beauty" and is being directed and produced by Sean Baker.  Show dates are Tuesday 9th to Saturday 13th December and tickets will go on sale in October.
